HOW MUCH DOES TELEHEALTH HAND THERAPY COST?
The initial evaluation is $125. During this first session, I look at all aspects of concern such as pain, swelling, movement, skin integrity, sensation, strength, coordination and function. From this information, we can determine the best plan of treatment and get you back to optimal condition as soon as possible. Follow-up sessions are $100/hour and $50/30 minutes.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Hands From Home is out of network, fee for service. You may check with your insurance company to see if Telehealth Occupational Therapy is covered and if so, we can provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement. An HSA (health savings account) may also provide reimbursement.
COVID-19 Update: Many additional insurance companies are now covering Telehealth OT services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION AND HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Telehealth hand therapy sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, based on your specific needs. Although every patient is different, most patients will only need one telehealth visit per week, and most issues can be resolved in 4-10 weeks.
DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE ANY EQUIPMENT FOR THERAPY?
Typically, you will not need to purchase any special equipment as most therapy can be accomplished with common household items. You may be provided with links to purchase products that could be beneficial for your rehabilitation, but they will not be required. The only item you must have for your telehealth hand therapy is access to a computer screen and internet connection.
